Once Upon A Book Storytelling Competition 2024/25

The aim of the Once Upon A Book Storytelling Competition, organised by the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Section, Education Bureau, and supported by the Hong Kong Public Libraries of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), is to promote reading, as extensive reading provides powerful learning opportunities for students.
Over 4,000 video entries were received across four competition divisions. In the junior secondary division (S1-S3), eleven teams were chosen to perform in the final ‘Live Unplugged Event’ held on 1st April, 2025, at EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre.
Congratulations to Liu Wing Yin (2D) and Ng Yan Lam (2D) for winning 2nd Prize for their presentation of Homer’s epic poem ‘The Odyssey’.
